Antennas
GroundTracer system for different uses in a variety of antennas, the antenna can be compatible with all GroundTracer control unit and accompanying software.
• 300 Hz and 500Hz antenna is mainly used for pipes, cables and other underground exploration. This antenna is suitable for most purposes the standard antenna. 300Hz antennas have greater penetrating power (depending on the type of soil, the maximum can penetrate about 4-7 meters) 500Hz penetration is small, (usually the largest 2.5-5 m) but it has a higher resolution.
• 750Hz and 900Hz the thickness of the antenna is mainly used for road, railway embankment thickness detection. Equipment can also be used for detailed measurements of shallow ground (about 1 meter high). 750Hz may from time to contact with the ground (in a car or train).
• 100Hz low frequency antenna for deeper exploration.
• high-frequency antenna (1.2GHz antenna is designed for underwater underwater 10 meters deep, often used to detect the sludge level detection underwater pipelines and cables and other objects.
Software
The Groundtracer system Software includes GroundImaging, Prism, and MOSAIC software (MS Windows)
l GroundImaging
GroundImaging is a specialized program that is developed to help you to interpret the results of the survey and to create 3-dimensional output from the results of your survey. GroundImaging is graphically oriented and has been developed from demands of contractors and engineers who are mapping subsurface utilities and other features on a routine basis. The program has several built-in automatic mapping modules to create 3-D models of the GPR survey (reflection strength for mapping founding remains, attenuation for indication for (organic) soil contamination.)
The main feature of GroundImaging is the manual mode, which serves as an intuitive interface between the user, the dataset and the topographic maps of the survey location (DXF). With this software it is easy to make a map of the location of subsurface pipes and cables and export the results as XYZ-ascii or 3-D DXF files, that can be read into your favorite displaying program (like Surfer, Voxler etc.) or drawing software (like AutoCAD GoCad/Microstation etc). In the overview window it is easy to see the different pipes and cables lining up: It is even possible to link parallel data files. Our GroundImaging software will help you to speed up the interpretation process.
GroundImaging features include:
• Fast en intuitive processing & interpretation and processing of your survey with 2-D and 3-D output files .
• Interpret your radarprofiles while you also see a (dxf) basemap with projected surveylines + the result of your interpretation.
• Use (RTK) dGPS coordinates, or convert to UTM or Rijksdriehoek coordinates.
• Export and import coordinates to work with with national topographical software like Coordinate caluculator 4.1 (NL) Cconvert (Belgium), Verto (Italy) etc.
• Correction for GPS delay (+ en -) helps to improve positioning accuracy.
• Unique GPS-corrected Hyperbolic cursor helps to identify pipes, cables and objects • You can use up to 6 different markers for the interpretation of the survey.
• Use the unique automatic processing modules (reflection strength, attenuation, DataOut) to transform your survey to a 3-D model of the subsurface.
• Results are exported in Ascii and DXF format (AutoCad, GoCad, Microstation, Surfer, Voxler etc.).
• Height correction of profiles using GPS coordinates.
l Prism
The Prism software is used to control the measurements and to process the stored data.
Possibilities include:
Data collection
• Coloured or greyscale acquisition mode
• Continuous profile or stepped mode
• Digital gain function applying
• Record of current coordinates from (RTK) dGPS or Total station in NMEA-0183 format

• Integrated multi-windows environment
• User-friendly interface
• Different data formats: SEG-Y, Radar Systems, GSSI
• Spectra calculations in arbitrary windows
• Output to printer supported by Windows
• Velocities and depth evaluation via diffracting optons

l MOSAIC
The new MOSAIC software transforms the GroundImaging survey / interpretation results to
a Google Earth KMZ –file. This allows for very fast visualization and reporting.
